Hi there,

I'm ramping up to start building a new darkroom and was wondering if anybody knows a paint that doesn't get stained by Glycin. (I'll be making my own sink from plywood).

I've read that garage floor paint meant for concrete works well in the darkroom, but is it Glycin proof?

Thanks,

Murray

Garage floor paints good nothing stains it, I used it on my drive-in darkroom in the 70's/80's :smile:

Another alternative is cellulose based paints.

I'm in the process of doing the same thing - and have found two really good solutions;

1. Awlgrip (you might want to check with Sanders McNew on this forum - I think he's knowledgable about yachting and may have info on this) - it's a boat hull finish system.

2. Epoxy - I think I may go with this - it's cheaper - at $115/gallon (you only need to buy one)

For further insights into the issue - you can see the following link I started;

See also as a quick compatibility guide, paying attention to the stain resistance category, etc;
