In acquiring more 9x12 plate holders, also bought a box of glass plates Perutz Peromnia-S panchromatiche Universalplatte (portrait) 100 Asa/21 Din, almost full.
Decided to use them, loaded the holders and will exposed half at 25, other half at 50. Development will be in trays, and since they are panchromatic, in completely darkness, possible with rodinal 1:50, 12-15m.
My question is following: if I can use my red safelight after 10m (or so) during the development, in terms of the sensitizer in the emulsion would be dissolved (gone?) in the developer solution. Or it is best to run all in total darkness and only open the lights after the plate is 3m or 4m in the fixer?
I ask because I prefer working with light (safe) when using the trays for developing.

Total darkness until at least halfway through fixing...same as panchromatic film.

Stearman Press has 9x12 plate holders available for their SP-445 developing tank now. That lets you develop at the kitchen sink !

Green is the recommended safelight color for developing pan materials by inspection. Not really because of emulsion sensitivity, but because your eyes are more sensitive to green. But the green safelight filters are very dark and even with that, can only be used for a few seconds to avoid fogging.

First, thank you both.
Kitchen sink? I develop at one of my lavatories! :D Aside of my little joke, I understand what both say.
For film, I have the daylight tanks, for 35mm to 4x5 and for the last have the sp-445. My question of trying glass plates was always more incline to develop in trays and with safe light, since always thought of getting ortho plates. And my old photography books and encyclopaedia always have instructions in desensitizing the emulsion, for development in safe light, but that is something I have to discard.
The dark green safe light, I have one (apparently) and according to the seller, when I bought my first red light bulb, it come with a dark green bulb, but I could not see the difference from a yellow-green safe light for paper (when I also got one), so I never decide to use as supposedly should; again, film I use the normal (daylight) tanks.
Again thanks, going to entertain my self and will post the results here.

Use the SP-445, it works very well with dry plates, you can get dry plate holders from him, or make your own.
