Does the Canon Sure Shot 80 Tele Date have a glass or plastic plastic lens?

The problem is that it is a complex lens. Thus containg more than one lens element. In such case plastic and glass elements may have been combined.
One would have to dissamble the lens to be sure.

In case you got wiser, would that have effect other than satisfying academic curiosity?

Yes, just curios AgX. I picked up this camera for $2 the other day and am waiting on a battery to see if it works.

In any case a interesting model designwise. I do not rember having it come across so far.
