I'm looking for a replacement UV disk for an Chromega B enlarger. I found and bought one from KNB Iin Canada which has not arrived and is 2 weeks late. There is a tracking number on it but it always shows the same info. While I'm waiting and in the meantime I was wondering if a UV lens filter would work in place. The disk is there to prevent fading of the incorporated filters and is a heat absorber as well. Are lens filters UVA and UVB rated?

If you are printing B&W only, you don't need the filter.

I’d still like to use the incorporated filters for contrast without buying graded paper.

I was referring the the UV filter which is for color paper, not the dichroic filters. You will need the dichroic filters for multigrade printing.
