Glass and paper that has optical brighteners

There are some great inkjet papers that are really bright such as Epson’s Exhibition Fiber paper. Unfortunately, the bright papers are using optical brighteners and optical brighteners rely on UV radiation to make them bright. Nope, I have been going direct to presentation & marketing for so long I forgot it was part of the darkroom category. I also messed up the title, it was supposed to be "glass and acrylic over paper that has optical brighteners.

I will try to get the admin to kill it.

Even ordinary glass blocks most UV light except for the near UV (known as UVA radiation).

Optical brighteners are not just an issue for digital prints. Some BW silver papers have had them for years. I remember them being discussed in magazines like Darkroom & Creative Camera Techniques 20 years ago, long before inkjet printing was a thing.

Yep, both Adorama and Ilford RC papers glow like crazy when I put them under a UV light to make a contact print.

I dont have a darkroom, but perhaps one of you can process a sheet and send it to me that I can test with my glazing samples. I could post the photos here. Anyone know what the brightest silver paper is that might have the most OBAs and be willing to send me a sheet? I am in Dallas, TX.
