For Sale Gitzo Tripod Head R.No4

Gitzo R. No. 4b Tripod Head in good used condition. This is a great head for any flat bead large format view camera.

It will mount on any tripod. It has a standard 3/8" threaded hole in base. The base has calibration markings for panorama photography. Some paint chipping and scratches, as expected for its age. Camera mounting plate cork is in good condition and movements are still very smooth. The 10.5 inch pan handle has a shutter release cable clamp on it. The overall height is 7.25 inches and it weights approximately 3 pounds.

.. I have one of these myself...terrific and rock solid...my favorite head for 35 mm (overkill but a farily compact head still ) and medium format (perfect ).....easily rigid enough for LF too but I have a 1570 head for that.......and I lucked onto mine for $29......bargain...

Thanks JosBurke, It is a great head and worked faithfully with my Deardorff. I asked some people I know who are much more in tune with what older items maybe worth. If this head is something you're interested in make a reasonable offer. It's only worth what people are willing to pay for it. Cheers!
