Getting the film spool into a Great Wall camera HOW HOW HOW

What words do you utter or what prayer...or how do you hold your mouth to get the bloody film spool into a Great Wall Camera??
All kidding aside, help!:confused:

Thanks Richard, that moominsean blog does say its really hard to load but give no help in how to accomplish this.
Do people file down the ends of the spool?

Not sure. Have not used one since I lived in China in the late 90's. Google: "Great Wall camera film loading" for a few more links...

You should not have to file the spools down. The little knobs on the side of the camera that align with the spools are spring loaded. Pull them out and it will release the end of the spool, or allow a new one to be placed inside.

I know this is old, but to anyone here in the future like me, Andrew Moxom is correct. You simply must twist and pull the on the top left side until you create enough space to drop the spool in. After I did that, my spool went in with no real issue.
