I recently called my e6 lab, here's what I was told:

Companies like Wess, didn't make their own mounts and are only selling whatever they've got left. Also, mounts like Wess mounts don't work in automated mounters.
HOWEVER...
This lab actually bought the last of the gepe stock and it should last a couple years.

"Companies like Wess, didn't make their own mounts and are only selling whatever they've got left."

That is what your lab told you.
However the director/owner of Wess Plastics is the director of the injection moulding workshop that now offers part of the Wess range. Wess plastics already was listed as plastic moulding firm. This at least makes it plausible that Wess actually was doing injection moulding.

I love Gepe’s 6x6 slide mounts. I still have two boxes here (no glass) and there are a few available at Amazon, but only with AN glass. Adorama and B&H list them all (with or without glass) as back-ordered.

I’ve seen Matin mounts for sale at Amazon. Are they any good? I don’t expect them to be as high quality as Gepe, but maybe they are good enough.

I ordered two boxex some time ago and used them recently. They warp, probably because they aren't manufactured precise enough. They may also be softer than the Gepe.

They still worked. But ocassionally one exceeded the tolerances of the projector and hit something on the way in. They still go in through sheer force, but you'll hear a little bang.
Also they marked the package as a gift. That may have saved me import VAT this time, but it can go wrong and I don't think that's a good idea.

Thanks for the information, @lantau!

Well, if it’s the only option, I may go for it. But I wish there was something as good as Gepe.

"Full of sound and fury. Signifying nothing."

This whole thread is about this question. And you got the answer?
