General Electric X-Ray Corporation Milwaukee Wisconsin puts it in the range of 1947 - 1951

it's round, approx. 6" dia.
has standard edison bulb mount, which is in a approx. 6" cord to screw into porcelain pullchain type overhead fixture

Does it have a 5.5 inch filter? 'Standard' Kodak filters are 5.5 inches. If it takes one of those you can just put a new or known filter in place and not worry about it being 'safe'. Otherwise you can just test it and see if it is safe for your materials. The Kodak safelights use a 15w bulb, and your unit may have a similar requirement. What other info do you seek?
