Gear rack 'spec' to match gear on 'orphan' B&J 5x7 front standard?

I have a B&J (at least the lens board says so, and the finish is gray paint) 5x7 view camera front standard and none of the rest of the camera.

Before I start trying to measure the gears to define the matching racks, I thought I'd ask if there is a spec. for the straight gear racks (and not try to figure it out on my own).

That would allow me to utilize the focus feature in whatever the next step I take might be.

The gear tooth spacing on my 5x7 flat bed is 2 mm. I had expected it to be in inches, but no!

Just to add: The focusing racks that I removed from my Keith Portrait 5x7 are 2 1/2 mm. The camera was a lot like a B&J.

Thanks...I will be careful to not round any measurements based on assuming fractional units.

After posting my question, I browsed on to look at spur gear/rack drawings...so I can at least see what measurements matter...& That once upon a time there were 14-1/2 and 20 degree spur gears.

I suspect I'll find a metric vs. fractional conflict in availability/affordability or be stuck choosing between an overpriced parts-cam or cost-more-than-makes sense to repurpose the front standard high-quality option from someone like Boston Gear.

I am almost done fixing some loose dovetail joints...the front standard does have some nice capabilities like large geared rise/fall range, a smooth circular path clamping tilt mechanism, large L-R shift...not having the rest of the camera, it might make sense to rig up some frictional focus slide/clamp and forego the rack/pinion method.
