My old pal a Weston Master IV gave up it sensor, so I rummaged around and found an older GE light meter, no fancy name, model number 90w58y1, not sure when it was made, may date back to the 50s as the film is set in ASA with a range of ASA 12 to 800. Has a detachable hood and cover, so with cover on, cover off then last hood off. I have not used it in a couple of years, last was when I shooting with an Argus C3. I have compared it with a Gossen SBC, and matrix metering on a Minolta 800si. Even in tough lighting withing a stop of both. It reads in foot candles. What I like about it is I can use with one hand, the Gossen is fiddley getting the LED to aline up sometime takes 2 hands.
