How many of you would be interested in Kodak papers cut from rolls and boxed?

Price for 100 sheets of 8x10 Supra Endura Lustre would be around $45-$50 plus shipping.

When I get into color, I would buy it. Not there yet.

I don't use much, but when I need it I would definitely buy it at that price.

I cut from rolls now. It can be a pain. It forced me to rig a vacuum easel, as the paper near the centre of the roll, or even a good way from the core never seems to want to lay flat.

I got into this after getting a deal on paper from a minilab that closed. Pricing worked out to something like $10 for a 5" roll that yileded about 300 or so 5x7's. I have not done the math on the 12" roll, but the supre one cost me $50 for 200' plus and then $20 for 200' plus for portra b&w. Sadly the now outdated b&w ra4 is now white and shades of magenta towards black. It is great for certian looks, and handy to contact b&w if I have a backlog stack of b&w and have my roller processor fired up.

Is Edge unsatisfactory? That comes in sheets.

PE

PE Is this a rhetorical question? I was hoping you'd tell us whether Edge is satisfactory or not:D It appears that the paper is thinner which is a pity but this may be manageable if it gives the same results, is as easy to print as Supra AND is available in the U.K.

I was only barely aware that there was such paper and have no experience of it but would like to know its qualities. It may be the only hope we have in terms of future supplies of RA4.

Strangely enough in the replies we are getting to our e-mails asking Kodak to reconsider its discontinuance of Supra, you'd think that Kodak might say that if for commercial reasons it has to discontinue Supra then it hasn't forgotten the analogue printer and intends that Edge will be available as the fallback paper. However the Kodak reply makes no mention of what we do if Supra disappears and doesn't even make it clear what Supra's future is.

I've got two big rolls of the stuff here. I'll gladly send you some sheets if we can work out a way of sending them without getting fogged.

There are several people dotted around the UK with two or more rolls of 8" wide Kodak Edge.... If you find yourself in central Norfolk, I can certainly cut you a few sheets from my stash - Just bring a bag & box.

I'd certainly be willing to give Edge a try if I could find it in sheets. All I see at B&H, Freestyle, and Calumet are Supra and Crystal Archive.

And, I would be willing to purchase paper cut from rolls--if it were the right paper. Like many others here, I'm looking for a quality paper that has normal contrast and saturation.

Edge is great stuff. I cut sheets from rolls. I posted on another thread somewhere in the last few days about it. Once you get the balance right, it is as easy to use as endura. The lighter weight of the paper actually helps with the curling caused by the roll. Stays flat in my easel.

I am very interested in cut sheets too. For rolls, I thought I could get a paper trimmer and make a mark on it, so in the dark I could tell where to stop the paper before cutting. Don't know if this is viable though.

Shipping (from the UK at least) costs as much as the paper. I've got a stash that needs using up so can certainly send you some if we can agree on a price.
