Selling this relatively rare exhibition catalog for a show by Garry Winogrand at Grossmont College Gallery in 1976. The book is softbound and contains forty images. Foreward by Leo Rubinfien.

I would rate the book's overall condition as 'Very Good'. The covers/spine have a bit of scuffing/minor shelf wear, but no creases or rips. The inside pages are in 'fine' condition - I don't see any flaws, other than a couple of small numbers written in pencil at the top of the first page.

Note: The book is not signed by Garry Winogrand, despite what appears to be his signature on the first page. The signature is printed, not hand signed. Some sellers are trying to pass this off as a 'signed' book and charging a premium for it.

This is very cool! For those of you not from California, Grossmont College is a large community college in San Diego country. I wonder of this collection of photos and exhibit are associated with the era Winogrand spent in California (and taking photos all over the streets of L.A. as he was wont to do).

I haven't looked up each photograph in the book, but it appears as though most of the images were shot in and around the NYC area (one of the shots was definitely taken in Toronto as the subject is the construction of Toronto's City Hall). I believe Winogrand was living in Austin at the time of this exhibition. My understanding is that he didn't relocate to LA until 1978.
