Does anyone have experience with the service for a Gandolfi camera by Edward Hill?

Yes. I've used Gandolfis for 10-15 years, and I have/had (one died) friends who used them for even longer. Eddie now owns the company, so it's in his interest to get it right -- and he does. No-one works to higher standards. Gandolfi ain't cheap, but I am often surprised at how little some things cost (and how much others cost, in all fairness). I would not want anyone but Gandolfi working on my Gandolfis, unless it's something so simple I can fix it myself.

I totally agree. But I confess I've been thinking of stripping my black 7x5" Traditional myself - it looks like there's mahogany underneath the government-specification black... :smile:

I have a little bit of a problem with the service of my Gandolfi! I sended it 5 weeks ago. So it's allready there for four weeks. And I cannot reach Eddie. Doesn't answer the phone and emails. For me as an professional user it takes too long and I don't know how long it will take.

I'd try his mobile/cell phone - the number is on his website - always been able to get hold of him up till now. remember we have had a long weekend off in that time which may have delayed postage and everyone is entitle to sometime off - unless this had been pre-arranged!

Oh dear! Yes, try the mobile. I've never had a problem getting hold of him for more than about 3 days. The thing is, he does a lot of engineering consulting and design work as well as building Gandolfis.

I am happy!!!
Edward mailed me that my camera is going out today!
After almost 6 weeks without it I am happy if it's back.
