Gandolfi Holder Question

Was there ever made a Gandolfi camera that used the thin metal single side plate holders?
A seller has describe one as having a wooden back that takes thin metal holders. Doesn't sound right to me but that's why I'm asking.

Contact the company, the current owner does restorations son woold know.

Some pre-WWII cameras did take metal plate holders similar to the German 9x12's etc usually Quarter plate, so it's quite possible.
