Gaf versapan 2831

My teacher's cleaning out his darkroom and he gave me some of this sheet film, and I was wondering if anyone knew the development times with D76. He recomended that dev, but didnt remember the times.
I dont have a lot of sheets to work with, so i would prefer to not have to waste some in testing it.

I would try D-76 straight at 7 to 8 minutes, HC 110b at 5 minutes, or D-76 1+1 at about 11 minutes at 68f all.

I have an unopened box of Versapan. How did the film work in D-76?

Versapan was a film like Super-XX
development can be extended like super-xx

I've read around that versapan was the favored film of the two ..by some at least


I was trying to win 300 sheets of it on ebay about 10 months ago or so
think it sold for $187 ..or less

I just was given a full,unopened box of GAF Professional film 4x5 type 2863.Can anyone provide me with the pertinent info of what is the ASA of this film and what developer should be used.
