Hi All,

Many should have access to the site again. It is hard to know if there are any major issues until we are under a bit of load. Any problems just let us know.

Thanks!
Sean

*the homepage instagram widget is broken but this is unrelated and I'll look into it later.

Welcome back. Seems successful to me. Congratulations!

A couple of the standard gallery images stall on loading on my iPad Pro. The page appears to complete, but only the top 5-10% of the image is rendered. I am using 5GHz Wi-Fi on a 400Mbit+ cable connection. It might be the device - the rest of the operation seems a touch faster, if anything.

Probably just me 8-(

Thanks for the info, I don't have an ipad to test with, so far seems ok otherwise. Let me know if things still seem wonky tomorrow. If anyone else has an ipad feel free to have a test. Thanks!

Yes, the CPU is faster and has more threads. So far the server load seems good.

*update, so far no major dramas, a few tweaks and cleanup, but otherwise should be solid.

We did a tweak to one of the session tables as well that should give a nice boost

t seems you have provided a seamless user experience. I certainly haven't noticed anything. Congratulations from a retired pro.

The search index is rebuilding now and should be done in a couple of hours. Search results may be lacking until then.

I had a brief spell of not being able to connect to the forum just now. It's odd because just prior to that I had already been accessing the new server just fine. I suspect it may have something to do with some cached content lingering on my browser. In case someone runs into it, try flushing cookies for photrio and flushing all cached content for the site as well, then try again.

Anyone who got this error on posting content, it should be resolved now

The photos on the home page under "A collection of member work featured at Instagram" weren't displaying for me until the server upgrade so, a good fix.

Welcome aboard!
Which options are you referring to, exactly? I just tried one through this page, which is linked about halfway down the Support Us page: https://www.photrio.com/forum/account/upgrades
SUBSCRIBE VIA CREDIT CARD:

We are now processing credit card payments via Stripe (all prices in USD). You can access these options here:

I selected the '1 year' option, with payment through PayPal. Worked like a charm.

And YES, I did in fact just now take a paid subscribership on Photrio just to test this!

What kind of error dialog do you see? Could you copy-paste it or post a screenshot? Thanks in advance!

Hi sean: I'm not sure if the pm system is working properly. I sent two pm's to Eli Griggs on Tuesday and Wednesday and one to you on Wednesday.

When I sent the two pm's to Eli Griggs his icon came up along with the word "restricted" so I don't know if they went through or not.

The PM system is working fine. The 'restricted access' label is unrelated to PM's; users on restricted access can receive and send PM's. You can safely assume that your messages were delivered.

Moderator Note: copied from another thread:

Has anyone reported a loss of functionality on the mobile site, or random errors when posting?

To explain: update posts have been really difficult for the last few days, because I suddenly have no access to text-editing tools in the mobile browser. Furthermore, I've been getting consent errors when writing posts: it's like I can't get certain responses or text to upload and post because certain words seem to be prohibiting it. I have to go back through what I've written, line by line, using the preview function until I find the word or phrase that's causing the error: so far, the word "from" seems to be the most common trigger, although "flex" and "can" caused it yesterday. It's rather bizarre...and very time consuming.

Hello koraks: thank you for that information.

Trying to post in the following thread yielded console error:

PHP: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN"> <html><head> <title>500 Internal Server Error</title> </head><body> <h1>Internal Server Error</h1> <p>The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.</p> <p>Please contact the server administrator at webmaster@photrio.com to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.</p> <p>More information about this error may be available in the server error log.</p> </body></html>

I have issues posting and editing my post. At first, posting did not work until I cache reloaded my page. Now, I can not edit my post, not even when I cache reload. The following error keeps popping up:

I've done a quick test and it seems I can edit your post alright. What are you trying to modify about it? There's one particular issue where specific combinations of words may trigger the error you got, which is why I ask.

I've just blocked some rogue search indexing bots that should help with this, and we'll be doing a server optimisation soon. Thanks!
