Hi All,

The main gallery page: (there was a url link here which no longer exists)
has been adjusted. Now holding 25 thumbnails, and at the bottom of the thumbnails a new "recent comments" area (similar to how we had it on the old site.)

The page which shows the full image will be redone soon as well. I intend to remove a lot of clutter around the images and likely offer the uploader options to display their image with a background color of their choice.

Thanks,
Sean

Looking good, Sean. Thanks for all the hard work! I for one would really like to see the name of the poster along with the thumbnail. I realize you can when you hover over an image but it's much easier to just read the name underneath than to go through and hover over 25 images.

Awesome, thanks again, Sean. I've been in the process of moving and have been away from here for awhile. Quite a surprise to see the new site, it's looking great!

hey sean !

the gallery looks better every day !

quick question...
what is the difference between clicking on the "media" tab and the "latest gallery photo" text?
i always think they go to the same page but i think there is a filter ( maybe my own i setup without realizing it ? )
and i realize the media tab always has a few extra images in it. is there a difference between the two or is it the way i just
have things "set up" on my end ?

The Media tab goes to the media homepage and on that page it has some recent images. The other link is like a 'new posts' search for all new media. Also note when you click "New" in the menu bar to see new posts, there is a tab on that page as well for new media. If you want all you can eat new images the 'new' option is better (also found on the main tab drop down)

Well, not excited about that, but it won't ruin my life. Certainly do appreciate all of your efforts!
I was going to have choices of black, white and a few greys and did not think that would be an issue for viewers. Do you think this warrants a user preference option "Disable background color chosen by image uploader" ?

That might be a good idea if not too difficult.

Well, I'd probably like that, but I think you're trying too hard to please everyone! Speaking for myself, a hopeless minimalist, I like to see pictures on a white wall. If it's all grayscale backgrounds, that might be okay. I had this fear of people dropping images on blood red and lime green backgrounds...

Yeah, I'm leaning towards 5 options from white to black. The uploader selects color they prefer, but top of the image page has little blocks of each color that you can flick between if you want to see it with a different background.

Will we be able to hit next and previous and see all the photos that appear on the media page, or will it still only show those in a particular gallery?

Will we be able to go through a particular person's images by hitting next and previous, or will it continue to walk through the gallery containing the first clicked-on image?

I would like to see the gallery less cluttered, without boxes and drop shadows. I don't think there is a need for them. They just take up space.

I would also like to see the return of the latest gallery images in the sidebar instead of just one with the arrows. I can't be the only one that misses that.

Hi Patrick, we updated the sidebar yesterday, you can now display multiple images:

(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

Also, a lot of de-cluttering is coming, likely be end of the weekend
