Hi All,

The link in the Classifieds area:

[Classifieds] APUG Branded
Items branded with the APUG Logo.

Is now working. it will redirect you to our new cafe press shop: http://www.cafepress.com/APUG

I would like to thank Jason Brunner "Jbrunner" one of our APUG moderators for building and managing the store. I know many have requested the shop so it's nice to finally get it running.

Please post any feedback here regarding the shop and we will do what we can to accommodate you.

Thanks!
Sean

Thanks, Sean. And just in time... my Photostock gear is just about worn out. (for some reason, I'm really drawn to the "boy briefs", but discretion dictates that a nice hat might be more appropriate. :D )

Yeah, I think the answer to What Would Ansel Do would be 'Not be caught dead in that'.

Awesome. Time to do some shopping. Do the shirts come in whale?

Particularly since Ansel set the standard in fashion for serious landscapists: Wide brimmed hat, big bushy beard, khakhi shorts, black socks, and sandals.

I think we need to have a challenge - we need to see at some point in time a picture of someone wearing that G in the gallery....

Eric Rose comes to mind...

Great ideas! I love the mugs and sweats!

I'm not really in huge lettering on the front of t-shirts - personally I prefer it on the back and small on the chest, or just a small logo on the chest with nothing on the back, like the golf shirts. Any possibility of either making an appearance at some stage?

Going to have to make my list out in the next few days - thanks a lot guys!!

I only buy shirts that come in "Tall" sizes. Saves me a lot of money!

Thinking about one of the Ivy APUG hats, though....

*NEIGHSAYER ALERT*

Ok, I might take grief for this.. but bring it on. I'm the kind of crazy fool who adds water to acid! Watch out!

No... but seriously, "Got Film?"? I can't think of a more worn out, overused and boring tag-line in the history of worn out, overused and boring tag-lines.

I applaud the efforts of the APUG branded merchandise, but film has a hard enough PR job as it is and I don't think that "Got Film?" is gonna help.

The whole world was shooting film when that ad campaign came out (mid 90's!) and frankly, it makes it seem like we're still stuck there.

I'd like to make a list of all the lame knock-offs of "Got Milk?", but I don't "Got Enough Paper?"

It seems to be selling quite well. If it quits selling, (i.e. people don't want it) I'll consider dropping it. I consider pocketbook voting the most formidable opinion of all. But honestly, thanks for the feedback.

Clicks the "like" button.

Thanks, Jason. My birthday is not for several months, but I might be able to guilt my offspring into some Father's Day purchases.

Oh no... it's spreading.

I for one am going to go drown my sorrows in a delicious, nutritious, tasty glass of milk.

While your doing that, tell some things you would like to see.

The golf shirts would be nice if white wasn't the only colour choice available.

I wouldn't mind seeing a bumper sticker that just said 'APUG: Analog Photography Users Group'.

Or a play of the X-files... "The Film is out There". Something to tell people that film is still alive and kicking. Something with some meat... some substance, something that actually makes people scratch their head and wonder about that funny old stuff they used to load into their cameras (that are undoubtedly sitting in their closet, perfectly functioning).

I don't know, I think that with our powers combined, we could come up with a really good, original and thought provoking tag-line.

In the meantime, I'll keep thinking...

"Film; the 21st Century's Vinyl"
"Film; the Silver Standard" <--- I like this one
"APUG; We do our best work in the dark"
"We don't need no stinkin' megapixels..." (UHF anyone??)

.... still thinking....
