That's kinda the point. Back in the 1970s I used to keep my OM1 in a never ready case, and my friend kept his Nikkormat in nothing whatsoever, it just hung around his neck or on his shoulder. I saw a shot, undid the flap, removed the lens cap, checked the light meter and if the thing I found interesting was still there - and it often wasn't - I pressed the shutter. Although we bought our cameras at the same time, his was all brassed up, had the odd ding while mine was like new. His shots were better, especially the people stuff because he just clicked the shutter. I resolved not to care about the condition of my cameras and worry about the quality of my shots. I also have pristine cameras, they're the ones I never use.No reason why they need to look beat all to hell if kept in good cushioned bags
