I share, or should I say borrow the darkroom at my dad's house. I was mixing up some soup to run some film when he came in the darkroom and sort of half serious asked "What are you going to process that stuff in, Panther Piss?" I had heard him use this term before as well as some other fellows he used to work with at a large newspaper in the 70's. I finally asked him "WTF is Panther Piss?" He siad that's what the old timers at the paper called D-23. I got the impression that when he was first working there he never even knew it as D-23, it was just known as Panther Piss. Thought it was kind of funny, anyone heard that term before or other slang names for common mixes?

Yeah, that's old, but it applies to lot's of things, cheap beer mostly.

Another one I always liked was "Weasel Urine".

We used to call Miller High Life "Bunny Piss".

My name for any developer that over-develops, under-develops, streaks, mottles or stains my negs, is "Dammitol"

I like Cat-p-TEA myself. It's really descriptive in more ways than one.

I use a variation of Dammitol, which compensated for lack of vision - aesthetic and otherwise - Focusol.

Also handy when you drop the film and all the little grains are knocked out of alignment.
