Hey all i know this is a common thing but ive searched and cant find a definitive answer, when the machine is powered on (even for 30 mins or so) the lcd still will show the whole board of characters. when its off itll show just the temperature lol, it was working yesterday but i cannot remember what I did in my fiddling around to get it to work, does anyone have a suggestion on how to combat this or any workflows theyve figured out to get it to display when on?

Looks like electrical contact problems. Sorry, no concrete suggestions; if this were my machine I'd open it up and probe around, checking for fouling, oxidation etc.

+1

Low voltage connections and oxidation from warm humid environment. I'd check every connector that's DC low power. Ribbon connections etc.
There are antioxidant sprays.
