FUJIFILM ANNOUNCES NEW FUJI HUNT STARTONE RT DEVELOPER & FIXER AT PMA 2006

Valhalla, NY, February 14, 2006 -
Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc., a leading provider of imaging products and services, proudly announces at PMA 2006, its Fuji Hunt StarTone RT Developer and Fixer for the automatic processing of all continuous tone black & white RC papers.

Fuji Hunt StarTone RT Developer and StarTone RT Fixer are liquid concentrate chemicals designed for machine processing of all resin coated black & white continuous tone silver halide photographic papers. Both the developer and fixer are single-part concentrates that, when diluted according to direction, are used as both the tank and replenisher solutions.

Ilford also sell similar chemistry for machine processors used for B&W RC Papers, replenshing and non-replenishing.
This stuff is just Fuji`s equivalent.

Maybe so but with so many companies dropping their film/chem lines, it's nice to see one bringing "new" to the marketplace. Just a thought

I'm not familiar with Fuji products...........do they produce a B&W RC paper to go with the machine chemistry?

And who in heck is processing B&W on automatic machinery any more??

Wouldn't this allow Fuji minilabs / printers to produce B&W prints on traditional B&W papers and not just on RA papers?

I do!

Try wrestling metre long prints in trays then you realise machines make a lot of sense.

I still use one for work...fact there are about maybe a half dozen or more RC processors in maybe a 5 mile radius from me right now that are used in labs. a big lab nearby just bought a new Colex machine to do nothing but RC b/w, so well, we're still using 'em here in NC. I was just talking with someone in another lab, and mentioned this new chemistry and they were thinking of trying it out if Kodak quits making polymax RT. personally, I'd like to see more support for the processing machines, but it's nice to know there are competitive products out there.
