I've been shooting this camera for almost 3 years now and never, simply never tire of it. It is just an incredible camera. 6 x 7 image quality and ultra compact when folded up. The lens simply could not be sharper. I wish Fuji could keep making such a wonderful camera.

Worth EVERY penny.

a titch out of my price range--I'll stick to the Voigtlander Bessa II, or maybe the Kodak Medalist. Bigger negative, anyway.

funny, it went from 1799 to 1899 in ten minutes, now its 1999. i guess price goes up as the views increase.

Those kind of prices make Hasselblads very affordable. Heck they even make Leicas affordable.

Better look at the thread about getting a GF670 repaired before buying one, or hope that it never needs servicing.

Apparently a limited number were located in one of Fuji's warehouses and will be made available at B&H: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/prod...6019089_GF670_Rangefinder_Folding_Camera.html

Story here: http://www.thephoblographer.com/2017/01/20/inside-scoop-last-chance-get-new-fujifilm-cf670-camera/

These are amazing cameras and a great opportunity. I bought my own back in 2014, shortly before they were discontinued and I love it. The lens is tack sharp, having aperture priority on a 6x7 folding rangefinder is a nice little feature and the compact size makes it about as burdensome to carry around as a 35mm Leica or SLR with an extra lens. While I doubt that showing demand would revive GF670 production, you never know what Fuji may put out in the future if demand here is strong enough.

Frankly, given what I've read about repairs on other Fuji MF cameras, I'd be leery of spending $2k for a camera that may not be serviceable in 2 years.

Lots of credit cards offer warranties on purchases, plus B & H offers extended warranties too if I remember right. This is such a fantastic camera that if you have the means, it would be incredibly foolish to pass it up. Mine has been shooting for nearly 4 years without flaw and I have put a LOT of film through it, easily over 500 rolls.

And what about all of the other 30+ year old cameras that are discontinued?

Fuji doesnt build these cameras, Cosina does (or did). Warranty service as I understand it is for the camera to be shipped back to Japan and get serviced there. I dropped over 4 large on both the GF670 and GF670W and they have both been flawless. 7 full binders of negatives shot through these cameras over the past 4 years. Absolutely flawless.

there was another website that posted that fuji will give a full new camera warranty on all the new ones sold and do the reparis themselves. cant remember where i read it, but it had a online conversation with a Fuji rep posted stating that. I think thats great news.

Where would those repairs happen? Fuji does not work on them in the USA. So if it is in Japan, does the owner have to ship directly to Japan (what is the approval process?) or do they send it to B&H and does B&H take care of it? On RFF Henry Posner (B&H rep) mentioned it has a warranty w/o (yet) providing any more details.
