In fact, I will be paying for my subscription today, so I can post in the classifieds here!

I looked in the big auction site and saw a good one for 300 dollars. I wish I could get it a little cheaper, though.

As soon as I get the camera, I'll post some pictures here!

Get it soon so you can have it checked out. Something that old would be a shame if it failed on you mid-trip and you then had to lug it around after that just to bring it back home. Speaking of which, what are you bringing for back up?

Hm, did the fixed-lens cameras have a noiser release? My ae 100/3.5 that I use on my g690 and gm670 just gives the standard leaf shutter click.

The GW II I used was more like "the machine that goes 'PING!'" - the shutter made a surprisingly loud pinging sound when it fired. A Leica it ain't.

Richard,

The backups are, in this order: Nikon P100 and iPhones.

Not that I am proud of saying it.

Cheers,
Flavio

I use the 6x9 wide-angle Fuji for landscapes and the 6x7 normal Fuji for street photography.

I didn't want to carry two cameras. One camera and one extras lens would be my limit.

I still haven't bought any and still have not paid my APUG subscription, so I can post in the Classifieds.

Cheers,
Flavio

Just so you know what you are taking with you on the trip, a photo of my GW690ii next to my OM-1 and winder 2.

Before I purchased my two Fuji rangefinders, I considered the Mamiya 7 with a normal lens for street photography and a wide-angle lens for landscapes.

Take a look at it.

Rick,

Thanks, but my current camera is a Hasselblad 500C/M. It's bigger than both!

Also, I like medium format. I am not really into 135 film anymore, even if it would allow me to ISO much lighter and compact gear.

The Fujicas are the smallest medium format cameras I can get with a very good optical quality.

Cheers,
Flavio

That is why I took my Hasselblad with the 50mm and 80mm lenses to France this May.
