Is the 800 speed superia discontinued? I found it earlier this summer but now i can't seem to find it at all, in store or online (well one on Amazon for $49 for 4 rolls).

I think Fuji US may have "discontinued" it (ie: stopped importing it).

I still see it in some of their stores in central Illinois. It doesn't seem to be on B&H's web site any more though. Fuji uses it in their disposable waterproof cameras though.

Well, that one certainly disappeared quietly. I just bought 8 rolls from Wal-Mart a couple of months ago. First Superia 1600 now Superia 800. Fuji sure is doing a piss poor job of supporting the film community. We are now left with Superia 200, Ultra 400 and Pro 400H.

United States is now the land of the big box store. If something doesn't sell well enough in a big box store it is moved out in favor of something else that does. Superia 800 must have been one of those that didn't make the cut. Like many, many other things that are missed.

Ah well, I do like Portra 800. Guess I'll have to order some just in case it end up on the block.

I wanted to try some Portra 800...but at $11/roll, I took a pass.

Took a quick look at the bay and some german seller listed this film with a 6/2016 expiration or whereabouts. Which puts the latest batch being manufacured this year.
They use it on their disposables. IIRC they have a 400 and 800 version of them.

Dear Brian,

Thank you for contacting FUJIFILM North America Corporation. Please allow us to assist you.

Our 35mm Superia film remains in production and available at retail in 200, 400, and 800 speeds...

The rest is more or less cut and paste telling me what they can't do: sell to me directly, look up dealer information, etc.

But it sure seems like something is going on with it.

B&H says it is discontinued.

There is someone called Life Deals selling it on Amazon for $49.99 a 4-pack of 24 exposures. That is more than Portra 800 costs for a 4-pack of 36 exposures. Must be really, really good stuff.

Haha, that's the listing that prompted this post. I came across a 2 4-packs for 20 on Ebay. I went to eat and when I returned, it was gone.

Wal-Mart in the US used to keep four-packs on its shelves. I hope anyone reading this who finds themselves in a Wal-Mart will take a moment to look and report back. (I try not to find myself there ever, but my wife occasionally ventures out...)

Well I checked mine yesterday and none to be found. Plenty of 200 and 400 but no 800, not even in the disposable cameras.

Of course, it should be realized that Elko, Nevada probably isn't at the hub of supply as far as Wal-Mart is concerned.

Still at the Cranberry, PA store, but the expiration dates are all 6/2015 (by comparison the 200 and 400 are dated 2017). I picked up a pack.

What about the 1600 speed? For years it was my favorite color film...

Just double checked at the Signal Mtn Walmart in Chattanooga, TN. 5 packs of 800, I bought two of the 4-packs. Dated 6/2016.
