Hi there, I’m new to the forum...and to slr film camera's

I have a 35mm Fujica STX-2 Manual SLR (inherited from my grandfather) which has a hot shoe attachment

I've been looking on eBay, but im not sure what type of flash would be suitible. Could someone advise?

It will take any flash with a standard hot shoe.
If you don't have the the camera manual, go to butkus.org for one. Throw him a few bucks as a donation, especially if you download it.
KEH.com often has X-mount lenses very inexpensively, and the Fuji glass is just great. They might even have a gen-u-wine Fuji Auto-Strobo, though it's not necessary. Any flash, auto or manual, will work the same.

Cool, thanks for the links. I was gonna get some more lenses at some point, as its only got the standard 50mm lens. I thought either manual/automatic flash would probably do, just wanted some confirmation from someone that knows more than i do
