Hey everyone.
I need a little help in terms of the Fujimoto CP-31 that I am using at The Asheville Darkroom, which I am co-directing. I jumped into the maintenance and testing of this processor just about a month ago and previously to this it has sat with chemicals in the baths for 5 plus weeks, as well as had a leaking issue. The leaking issue has been fixed. Since I've obtained responsibility for the machine, I have drained and cleaned the processor several times and mixed and fill the baths with new chemicals. I am using Colorprint Blix and RA-4 RT Developer Replenisher solution. (Freestyle verified my use of the contrasting brands).
I have run the machine several times, both with water and with chemicals, and for upwards of 30 minutes at a time. Everything seemed to be in working condition. Since then, I have ran it twice and have acquired two issues. One, being my prints(prints being defined as paper exposed to light without any imagery) are coming out orange and streaky when I am doing test prints to test the chemicals. The last time I did this they were blue and streaky and I thought it could be the paper, I switched papers and this time it was orange a streaky. What could be attributing to this?
My second issue is that now when I run the processor, the drive shaft vibrates somewhat violently and creates a sound like it is straining to rotate. Could lubrication help where the gears meet the shaft? When I apply pressure to the end of the drive shaft, the noise ceases, but once the pressure is released, it begins again. What could be attributing to this. thank you for your help.
