I had a GX680 - 135mm lens that was a duplicate and a Wollaston 190mm lens. As the glass on the 135mm had some problems and the 190mm had no shutter, I decided to try to combine the two.
First, I removed the front and rear lens assemblies on the GX680 135mm lens. Simple enough to do as they just unscrew. That left the shutter assembly - but there were some very bright threads exposed on the shutter. So, I painted them flat black being careful to keep the paint from reaching any moving parts on the shutter.
Next, the Wollaston lens was removed from the Linhof board it came attached to, then I cut the board down to match the base of the Wollaston Lens flange. The Wollaston flange turns out the have a raised section that was a very close match to the diameter on the shutter assembly's front section. Making it fairly easy to mount the flange.
I attached the Wollaston flange to the GX shutter with glue, I now have a 190mm meniscus lens with a shutter. I also have a choice of using Wollaston drop in f stops because the slot is still exposed, or the built in GX shutter's settings. I have not done a lot of testing, for now it seems to be working just fine. Wide open image is very soft, stop down and it gets better in the middle as you would expect from a meniscus.
