Looking for information-

Can you use a Fuji GX680I or GX680II remote release on a GX680III? Attaching port looks the same, release looks the same - is there a circuit difference?

Thanks -

No, it does not work. I had a GX680II and a GX680IIIs and the remote from the #II did not work on the #III.

If you can find the proper plug, a DIY solution is (there was a url link here which no longer exists)

I looked at the post - were you able to make one? Is it a simple switch that makes contact between leads from two pins?

Releases for I or II seem to be easy to find - III's seem to be rarer and priced around $250. Could you adapt a I or II release to work on a III?

As i don't have the original release, I don't know if it is just a switch or a switch in series with a resistor. I used a resistor in series with a switch.
