Fuji GX680 (Model I) - Question regarding Waist Level Finder removal and Mirror rest bolts

Hello,

I have recently become an owner of a Fuji GX680 (first version). I am having some trouble removing the standard waist-level viewfinder. I cannot seem to figure out the correct way to detach it from the body.

Secondly, I am unsure if the mirror is resting correctly in the down position. When it drops, it stops against two bolts on the sides of the camera interior. However, one bolt is larger/thicker than the other. Is this normal, or is there something missing?

I am attaching photos showing the type of viewfinder I have and the detail of the mirror rest bolts.

Please excuse my English. Thank you for your help!

Best regards, Lukas

I looked up the manual online (link), and perhaps these might help?
It says to slide the viewfinder forward while pressing the lock (labeled C in the diagram)
