The viewfinders are large, but these old Fuji rangefinders have tiny focus patches. The new Fuji's (GF670 & GF670W) are absolutely massive in comparison.

I thought this model came out in the '90's, but there is over a decade between them and the newer models you mention. The focus patch has always seemed large compared to my 35mm RF bodies. Maybe this is a sign to go shoot with mine again to test

My first MF camera was a GSW690. Loved it very much but was always amazed at how tiny the viewfinder focus patch was. Many many years later I got the GF670 and was blow away at how much larger it was; a very significant improvement.

The GF670 might have a bigger focus patch but it still isn't a 6 x 9!

I'm open to reasonable offers.

Please don't do this to me. LOL. Someone buy this man's camera.

^ I'm going to be in the LA area this weekend...

Seriously though, you guys would be hard pressed to find a better camera for this price that produces such beautiful 6x9 negatives, and the build quality is practically bomb proof!

I would be keeping this camera if I didn't already have a 6x9 back for my Horseman camera that I use more frequently.

I really, really don't need you to be in LA for me to buy this beautiful camera, haha. But... what are you doing tomorrow? Are you bringing the Fuji with you? I just wanna touch it...

It's a great lens on a good body. IMHO, the combination equals great camera. I've had the III, currently have a II. Have had no regrets about either of the cameras. Except I regret dropping the III, which is why I have a II.

I'm actually going to be in the San Bernardino area tomorrow, but I will be in the area until Tuesday if you're serious about looking at the camera. I'm currently on a road trip traveling the West Coast, camping, and doing photography! I have my 4x5 kit with a 6x9 back, the Fuji GW690III, and a 120 Holga. I've done Redwoods, Yosemite, Death Valley, and I'm planning on doing Joshua Tree and Sequoia before I head back to Washington state. I have a USPS medium flat rate Priority Mail box with packing materiel ready to ship the camera, if anyone buys it, I will just drop it at the nearest post office. I'm obviously willing to meet in person if you're located on the West Coast, I will be driving mostly Hwy 101.

Unfortunately not. I accidentally dropped it a few weeks ago, and while the camera still functions fine, there's now a chip on the outer edge of the front element. If anyone wants it for parts/repair I'd be willing to let it go for $100 or best offer.

any photos of the chip? is it really bad?

It's probably half the size of a shirt button on the very outer edge of the element. I should shoot a test roll, I'm not sure whether or not it will have much impact on overall image quality. I will get detailed pictures on Friday, I'm currently out of town.

$100? Wow, too bad I am in the EU and shipping from the US easily amounts to half of that. As if there weren't enough, add me to those interested. Hope the lens is fine. These machines are tanks. Good battle camera.

Let's consider it sold! Thanks for all of the offers.
