I'm looking to sell my Fuji GW690III. It's been a fun camera, but it's time for me to pass it on to someone else who will enjoy it! I'd rate the condition of the camera at 8/10. Everything works as it should, it makes excellent negatives!

Asking $550 shipped in the lower 48. I have a PayPal account.

Thanks!

I agree with Eric - $550 isn't so bad for the Texas Leica in good condition (paid EURO 500,- for my GW670iii) !
would buy it. But it comes from overseas. So we have to add the custom of 19%. And that's too much then.

I'm pretty firm on the price to be honest. You could probably find it a bit cheaper somewhere else, but I actually do enjoy shooting this camera form time to time, and I'd rather keep it than let it go for much less.

You are right and don't misunderstand me: your price is correct, but for a buyer here in Europe, when adding the VAT, it will be at about 660.- + shipping costs. And this will in the end be more than a cam I will buy directly here in Germany... sorry for this!

I have 3 Fuji 690 cameras. 550 is CHEAP for what you get. BEST all around camera made. I have MF SLRs too, love them, 80% of the time I walk out the door I grab a GW or GSW 690III. HUGE negative, no freaking auto anything, no battery.

Although I already have a GW690III, some prospective buyers might want to know the exposure count (x10) on the bottom of the camera.

The shutter counter on the bottom of the camera reads 840 x10, or 8,400 actuations, assuming it hasn't rolled over.

Don't know why they call this camera 'Texas Leica' - I heard others say it looks like a 'clown's camera' ... No regrets having one - it's highly recommended and has a great image quality !

I believe it's because of a stereotype. Something about manlyhood or the "size matters" philosophy. Or, maybe, because one can kill someone by hitting him/her in the head with a Fuji GW690 and the camera will survive, mostly intact.

I am not really sure. I am not a Texan! I am not even from the USA!

Still, I wouldn't mind having one of these. I already make a lot of jokes, so I am not too distant of looking like a clown, even without the camera.

The Texas aesthetic is that "everything is bigger in Texas". Big skies, expanding horizons, etc., etc.
It is a leftover from when Texas was the "frontier". But it appears to have held on as a mindset.

To be sure Andrew doesn't miss a sale, my PM above was to ask about the shutter count which he has now posted in this thread.

How has this not sold?! Had I not just bought my own MF camera, I would be all over this. Great condition too for an excellent price!

This + a spot meter makes for some nice pix in 6x9. That large viewfinder means no squinting when focusing

If you'd take $475 let me know. Shutter count isn't very low compared to others in same range. If I was you I'd keep it.

Shutter count says nothing - you can manipulate it to whatever number you want. Only three screws lets you lift the bottom plate. There's a button on the side of the counter. Pushing the button will the counter reset to 000 -
using your index finger, you can turn the numbers to something more believable. Takes you less than 2minutes. So what ? Shutterangst ??
The sellers camera looks like in great condition - 8/10 he said. That's what is important.

The viewfinders are large, but these old Fuji rangefinders have tiny focus patches. The new Fuji's (GF670 & GF670W) are absolutely massive in comparison.

I'd be willing to let it go for $500 plus the cost of shipping, otherwise I'll keep it around for a while longer.

Here's a recent image from my trip to Death Valley National Park a few weeks ago, shot with the Fuji. Excuse the low res scan.

I'll let it go for $500 shipped in the lower 48.
