My Fujica G 617 seems to be loosing traction, gears slipping etc. The frame spacing changes from roll to roll. No rhyme or reason. It's not just slipping, it seems to go faster and slower if that makes sense. I have other Fuji rangefinders, these are not the most precise machines.
So far I haven't lost anything, I bought this camera used a couple years ago, it's a lot of fun. I suppose a CLA is in order.

Yes, I love the camera. It's due for routine service.
I've had problems with a older Hasselblad back too. I managed to de-gunk it with some old (banned) Kodak film cleaner . Trichloro-trifluoro ethane and heptane. Fixed a copal shutter too. I'm not going to be messing with this nice camera, I have a good repair shop I use.
Thanks for the input.

I have made a simple adjustment that seems to have helped. All the Fuji 6x9 rangefinders share the same method of counting frames. The film passes between a set of 3 rollers that spin to advance the counter, this is what stops the film winding lever. I pulled up on the chrome roller, on the camera back, trying to increase the spring pressure on the film to increase traction of the black in body roller that actually moves the frame counter and spacing system. First test roll looks a lot better, frame spacing is more consistent and centered on the film. It definitely is dependent on the black roller turning ,it seems to be working fine. All the problems have been with TMY-2, not sure if film type has any effect .

I will monitor if it re-occurs it's going to United Camera in Rock Island IL they can fix anything.

This fixed the problem, just slightly bending the spring up puts enough pressure on the film to insure it turns the counter roller.
