For Sale Fuji Frontier SP500 scanner $2000

Fuji Frontier SP500 35mm film scanner for $2000. Scans at 18 megapixels to jpeg or bitmap. Has the look that is the favorite of wedding photographers. Can scan whole rolls all at once. Includes Dell PC with hard to find scanner software installed, alternatively I have a hard drive image so you can run the scanner straight from your main computer in VMware. It is about the size of a "mid tower" PC. Comes with the auto carrier (whole uncut rolls!!), two manual carriers, the strip insert, and the rare mounted slide insert.

Looking to move to 4x5....or 8x10, or maybe just 120, but this scanner only does 35mm, and I shoot a lot less film now that I used to. If your lab charges $10 for 18 megapixel scans, this'd be paid for in about 200 rolls. I've probably only sent about 20 through it. I really don't want to let it go but I think I'm just going to have to downgrade my 35mm shooting for now because I need money. :O

Possible trade for a Nikon D750 with 70-200 2.8 VRII. (Basically what I'm selling this for, then I'll get the F6 when I can afford it)

I'm not sure I could ship it, as it's pretty big and fragile. Prefer local pickup around the Temecula, CA area. Possible I could drive to LA, or San Diego....

Hi Daniel,

I bought the SP500 2 weeks ago, but there was no software with it. Can you tell me where an how can I get the software to scan my negatives? I asked Fujifilm and the want 4500 bucks (thats much more than I payed for the scanner)
There ar two versions they told me, one for Win7 and a older one for Win XP, that would be enough but dont know how to get it.
I hope you can help.

Hi There, i understand that this reply is a little post you selling the SP500 but i was more interested in how you connected this up as a stand alone scanner. Was this difficult? other than the scanner software, what else is required and what is the procedure to achieve connection. I am in Australia and need to connect one as a stand alone. I would really appreciate any assistance on this. Please advise

I have one and can say it's well worth it.
The ease of use for b/w and color negatives just beats anything else out there.
It's ok for slide film but not great.

You literally just feed the strips or entire roll in and it gives you super fast previews of all frames.
You then select what you actually want to scan.
You can make adjustments if you want, but 99.9% it gives you what most people would consider great results.
