I heard someone compare the look of Pan X 32 and Acros 100, saying they are similar. Does anyone have actual use of these two films and maybe the spectral graphs to support such a claim? I know the tones out of Acros 100 are very wide and separate this film from others, but is the look similar? Same question for Pan X and Catlabs X80. They claim Catlabs X80 (which may or may not be GP3 film) is supposed to also be similar. I have yet to get my rolls developed, so I cannot say either way just yet. Im debating to get some Acros 100 in sheets, but am waiting on that one.

I am only glad you heard this and this is not you saying it. It could be dangerous if any of our Acros fans thought this was you and they know where you live:D Thanks goodness that Henning may live too far away to be a threat :D

Well shiver me timbres. I think both films have a loyal following, so comparing them against each other may be blasphemy. But I have read this comparison in quite a few threads over time on more then one site, so I think my question is valid.

Can anyone bring up a graph on the two films? What does it tell you?

Funny. Ive never heard anyone complain about the lack of tones on Acros 100. Matter of fact, they say its rich in tones. Luckily I still have some rolls of Pan X, but not a lot of it. What they want for 1 roll on Ebay now is rediculous. $21-25 US for 1 roll plus shipping.

Are you shooting 120 or 35mm? I just use TMAX-100 if I need fresh film quality and higher than 400 film resolution.
