That's why the title of this thread is ridiculous. The film is discontinued TODAY. Sales are expected to continue for a period of time, but it all depends upon the supply. If enough hoarders appear, that time frame could drop dramatically.

All 4 x 5 shooters should understand that despite the erroneous title change by the mods, Acros 100 film in this size is discontinued as of today.

I'm trying to save a bulk box from the hoarders
I wish Fuji had the same pricing policy they have in Japan. It would have been a hit in the EU market. (I'm referring to the price / sqm of film, LF Acros is waaaay overpriced compared to 135 and 120 Acros)

If you like the film buy up all that you can to keep it from the hoarders. That is what I have done for many discontinued films.

Fuji(-film) says bullshits about his films and business plan . Kodak is unclear too (I mean about tmx on 120) and it continues to raise the bar for prices. Who remains? Sadly only ilford in a dominant position.

Wake up, it is called supply and demand. If you want Kodak film to become cheaper shoot a lot more Kodak film. Shoot it or loose it.

Well rats, I've got maybe 20-30 rolls of this in 120 and then it's all gone. Not my 100% favorite, but if I'm looking for a clean look I've found that it fills the bill quite nicely =(

I recall Simon Galley, late of Ilford, saying several times in various threads that it's objective was to be "last man standing in B&W" and if I recall correctly he gave what appeared to be a commitment that Ilford would maintain its full range of films. Ilford was riding high at the time, certainly within APUG and I thought there may have been an element of Hubris in this but so far under new management these two objectives seem to be holding and indeed other companies like Fuji and Kodak seem to be assisting Ilford to live up to Simon's promises :D

Only relates to 4x5. Not smaller formats... I'm going to buy it all up before Leigh gets it all... :D

Here's the official announcement (in Japanese):
http://ffis.fujifilm.co.jp/information/articlein_0066.html

Acros 4x5 and Acros 8x10 have "expected shipment completion" dates (as translated by Bing) of May 2018. (Acros 120 and 35mm seem not to be affected.) Natura 1600 (35mm) and some disposable film cameras are also being nixed around that same time. Interestingly, they recommend Superia 800 as a replacement to Natura 1600, conflicting with reports elsewhere that that emulsion was discontinued.

There is a footnote about some of these dates being subject to change depending on sales (?), but it's not clear to me where or how that applies.

There were rumors on Japanese sites that final shipments of Acros sheet film to distributors in Japan were completed before August, 2016. In fact, I purchased and shipped a few boxes to a friend living there in December.

It's very likely that this May, 2018 date is FujiFilm's own estimate as to when the remainder of those stocks will be exhausted. So, yes, the title of this post is likely misleading...as hoarders will now snaffle up the remainder.

The original title to this post was indeed correct. It was rightly stated that Acros 100 in 4 x 5 size was discontinued. A moderator changed it to this misleading title and now people will think that Acros will be freely available up until the estimate where Fuji thinks stock will last. That is a shame and not an honest assessment of the current situation of this film.

I used up the last of my 8x10 and 4x5 sheets. It was a wonderful film, but they're probably having problems keeping thick sheet film base going. Kodak does not. There are still heavy industrial users of TMax. So between FP4 and TMY I'll do just fine. But I will keep shooting ACROS in 120 roll film where it's finer grain and special characteristics really help.

Turned out to be pretty accurate. With the exception of 35mm and 120 also caught in the net.
