Dropping 6x7 from choices simply by non-existent inconvenience of storing negatives is really not serious.

My decision to take 690 vs. any other was simple - go as big as choice allows.

The only thing I wish Fuji had done was to make the GW multi format, which was certainly possible.

Printfile pages need to fit an 8x10 sheet and contact printer. I have a seldom used RZ67II, so I have the 12 6x7 per page. In fact I have 3 different Printfile sizes for 120.
I'm ill equipped for 127 ....? I better get on this.

36 exposure 35mm won't contact to 8x10 either. Ilford makes 9.5x12 which should work for both.

This is why I always waste a couple frames, 35 exposure rolls should be standard. Who shoots 42 exposure rolls (7 strips, of 7 exposure = 9.5x12 inches) ???

Congratulations! Good score. When i bought mine in spring 2017 they were around $500 USD shipped from Japan....& in mint condition.... they've gone up for sure!

I have four 690 versions, 65 and 90mm. I love these cameras.

These require a larger than 8.5" x 11" binder - which doesn't work for me. Those oversized binders don't even fit on the shelf I use for my negatives!
But that is just a nuisance really. If you like 6x7 - which I do - you just put up with needing more than one standard size page, or get oversized binders and find a place for them.

I know this is true, I was half joking when I said it, because honestly, I'm so on the fence between the 6x9 and 6x8.

I use an "oversized" binder for my negatives, and I like the large print file sheets for my 35mm negatives (7 strips of 6). I make contact prints on 9.5x12, and it's perfect. When I built my darkroom, I also made the shelves to fit the oversized binders.

The binder I use is slightly larger - outside dimensions of the cover boards are 11.5" tall and 11" deep.

I use the Adox ring binder that measures 33.5 x 6 x 31.5 cm (about 13.5 x 2.5 x 12.5 inches). This fits my large Printfile negative sheets and my 24 x 30.5 cm (9.5 x 12 inch) contact sheets. I really like these binders, and I have one for each year of photography. I also include photo discs (CDs, DVDs or BDs) that I burn and keep archives of my scans on.

Just like the proportions, prints nicely on 11x14 paper with 1” borders. 9 exposures instead of 8 doesn’t hurt either.

fair. 11x14 isn't a popular paper size in Ireland (or europe as far as I know but I could be wrong)

I need to measure the negatives, looks pretty close to 6x9. I love these cameras, this one had 170 shutter clicks, like new.

DHL, Tokyo to Cincinnati then direct flight to Cedar Rapids Iowa, I'm 20 minutes from airport (CID). DHL is fast but seems to charge non-existent taxes/tariffs. I paid the fees. FedEx is the best.
I don't mind paying for the extraordinary service, DHL or FedEx

The counter in the baseplate reads 16 1/2 × 10 = 165 actuations of the shutter, roughly 18 rolls. Japan is a treasure trove of pristine analog cameras.
Part of the speed of dispatch is many sellers use a centralized warehouse (for lack of a better word). I don't know exactly how it works.

I was thinking about the GW680 at one point, but one disadvantage of the 670 and 680 versions is that the lens is still the 90mm. That may suit you if you shoot a lot with 50mm on 35mm format, but I have found the 39mm equivalent of the 90 on 6x9 to be a really nice capture for my landscape work - likewise I've got very fond of a 40mm Voigtlander on my Canon.
