Has anyone heard anymore about status of Fuji 3000 B/W Instant, is it still discontinued or did we earn a reprieve? I would think with its 3000 ASA it would be more popular film because it would be so versatile.

Discontinued. I just bought it from B&H and it had June 2015 as expiration date

It was wonderful film, but it has definitely been discontinued. There are still packs for sale, but someday soon it'll be gone forever.

According to the local Fuji distributor, the main use, by far, of Fuji Instant films is for medical, passport, and visa photography in developing countries. Amateur and creative use in developed countries is relatively small by comparison. Black and white is no longer used for passports anywhere, so FP-3000b was discontinued. Someday the FP-100c will meet the same fate.

As all others have mentioned, it is definitely discontinued. Based of what I have understood about this film, they need a negative component as part of the whole package. I am simply wondering, if the negative for 3000B was in fact something sold alone as one of the Fuji black and white films that has been discontinued, therefore they no longer have the negative for the 3000B...Just a thought I had...too much time thinking!

pretty much every other type of instant film is now being remade by someone, except for the peel apart stuff. it's a real shame.

You can't really recover the negative for FP100B or 3000B, and it's not sold on it's own AFAIK.

B&H is still selling this film as new. I suggest to buy as soon as you can before the last stock is totally sold out

B&H is now sold out. I looked a few days ago. There are several ebay sellers who are charging as low as about $24 a pack if you buy a lot, but nothing as good as B&H's price which was $19 a pack.

Hopefully enough of us will continue to shoot FP-100C enough to satisfy their sales expectations to keep it in production! This stuff is just SO much fun to shoot!

Update: I looked at B&H tonight and it's back in stock at $18.99 with expiration Sept. 2014.

I see there's been another big price jump, now going for $27 USD a pack. Maybe I should keep the 20 packs I got at $18 as an investment rather than shooting them...

I think I have about 24 packs left. My plan is to just enjoy them, while being aware that when they're gone they're gone. Hopefully I can appreciate them while I have them. But I won't be spending $30/pack for more. If I stumble across a deal somewhere, sure - but that seems unlikely. Glad I stocked up a little bit when I did though.

I have five packs in the fridge, which I bought in a panic after the announcement. I shot a pack and, frankly, I was underwhelmed by the results. So I'm hanging on to what I have. Maybe I can get a hundred dollars a pack in a few years? Seriously, though, I like the color film better, and I'm just as happy not falling in love with something that is no longer being made.

I fell in love with it when I can shoot the RB/RZ indoors (without flash) and it looked good.

In case anyone is interested, http://filmphotographyproject.com/ 's store seems to be the only place on the web that still has it for the most recently 'old' price, $20 USD each.

And they have about 600 packs left.

I wish I had known when I stocked up. That said, I bought 42 boxes, most of which was exp 8/2016, for about $27 a pack. The exp 2014 stuff is still great and it's all in the freezer. (safe for Fuji instant film)

I initially got 20 packs from a store in Toronto for about $20 USD ea, and I've received/ordered another 20 from FFP for the same price. Will probably get another 10 or 20 and then call it a day, I might even just use half of the 500 or 600 pics and sell the rest later on at a likely higher price. I have a small amount of hope that once Fuji discontinues Fp-100c, someone will acquire that equipment and such and bring it back + the b&w. Maybe.

Also FPP is down to ~500 packs

Interesting, a week ago FPP had ~400 packs left. Today? sold out. Wonder who bought $8000 worth of FP-3000B in the past week.
