Bogen Manfrotto 3057 tripod head trade for a comparable value ball head. This 3057 is in good shape with light usage signs. Comes with 1/4 and 3/8 quick release plates. Will post pictures if any interest. This tripod head weighs in at almost 5 pounds so its no lite weight.

comparable value

A quick look on the internet shows a broad range of potential values for a 3057 head. What do you consider the value of the one you are offering? Alternatively, what ball head would you consider as comparable value?

There are two basic versions of the 3057 head.

The older version has no spring-loaded security lock (prevents accidently dumping the camera or large telephoto lens by inadvertently pushing the release lever).

The newer version has the security lock. It would be helpful to state which version you have.

I also checked for prices on the internet and found a wide range of prices. I'm thinking a value of $40-$50 would be fair? As far as which ball head for comparable value I'm open to all. I'll post some pictures .

I'll post some pictures. I didn't realize there was 2 versions of the head .

Here's a few pictures, if more pictures are needed to clarify which version this is I'll be more than happy to post more. 20220312_110820-1.jpg 20220312_110834-1.jpg 20220312_110911-1.jpg 20220312_110921-1.jpg 20220312_110954-1.jpg 20220312_111003-1.jpg

Photos 3 and 6 clearly show the lever of the security lock. This is the more-desirable newer version that helps ensure that the camera or lens isn’t accidently released to the ground or floor. This is the head that I use with my 8” x 10” monorail camera and also with my 600/4 AIS-S Nikkor. It’s very robust and well-suited to holding heavy equipment.
