All equipment is in very good condition w/ a few exceptions -
one camera adjustment knob has a dent,
the 'grey scale' sticker on the Pentax meter has a small tear.

I purchased all items new with a total investment = $3325.
Asking price for complete outfit - $1450 (includes shipping).

I live in Iowa and will sell & ship to the lower 48 states.

Over the past several years I've visited the APUG forum many times as a guest, and learned a lot.
But, unfortunately I have to make a difficult decision concerning my photography hobby.
Because of a health issue (RA) I jut can't get around like I used to. So, I think it's time for me to find a new hobby.
Therefore I'm selling my 4x5 camera outfit to help fund another interest that I have - music. : )

Enjoy your music (though I can't think of an instrument that doesn't have limitations with RA.

May I suggest looking into getting a Mamiya 7.

All the detail of a 4x5 with ultra sharp lenses, but in a compact size, takes 120.

But do what you can for your health and be well, enjoy the music

Looks like a reasonable price for someone looking for this type of kit. The meter appears to be a Zone VI model ($400-$500) and the lens new is around $1800 ($600 + or -used). The screens would unload your wallet for a pretty good chunk. If I didn't already have a kit very much like this, I might be emptying my change jar to try and make it happen.

What type of instrument do you play?

Just for the record, my plan was to allow this FS ad to run for about two weeks, and if I had not sold the outfit by then, I was going to put it the FT section. (I hope that I'm not breaking any rules by listing here what I would be asking for trade in the FT section!)
The instruments that I would be interested in trading for are the following, in order of preference -

Fender 'Stratocaster' Electric Guitar with at least one of the two pickups a P90.

National Resophonic (NRP) Reso Rocket (Resophonic Guitar)
National Resophonic (NRP) Resolectric (Resophonic Electric Guitar)

Most Strats have 3 pickups and P90s are (I believe) a Gibson product. Sounds like a custom job you're after...?

Actually the Fender 'Artist' came in several versions - 5-string Bluegrass (Archtop & Flathead), Folk, Plectrum & Tenor.

As for Fender Strats, you're right, most do have three pickups. I think some do have just two, so I just wanted to make clear that I would prefer that at least one would be a P90. I believe that Gibson does have their version of a P90 pickup. There are other P90 makers also, such a Jason Lollar and I think MOJO. (I'm not too knowledgeable about this stuff, I'm just going by what I have learned on several guitar forums)

I'm interested in a Strat or the Resophonic guitars primarily for slide playing. I've read that the P90 pickup is favored by slide players.

Oh, and by the way, 'not lookin' for no turntable'! : )

I am sorry to hear about your health issues. I am also "up there" in age (64) so I understand the need to change focus (excuse the pun). It is too bad that you feel you have to move away from photography, but I am also a musician and can appreciate your choice. Enjoy it.

Yeah I'm 63, and some of my parts just don't work like they used to (feet, knees, hips mostly).
But I figured that since I love Blues music so much, played slide style, I would give it a try myself and see what happens. : )

NAFGUY, you don't see a lot of Strats with P90s. If a different pickup is added (and there are always three on a Strat), it is usually a humbucker in the bridge position. There are a lot of Telecaster style guitars out there these days with P90s, or at least one P90, usually in the neck position. But there is no need to get exotic. A stock Strat will fit your needs. If you want to play electric slide, it is usually a good idea to have a guitar set up just for slide. I played bars for years and my main guitar was a GIbson ES-345. I had a Strat for backup and a Les Paul with P90s set up exclusively for slide.

If you want to play electric, the amp is far more important than the guitar. A crappy guitar can sound great through a great amp, but you can't make a great guitar sound great through a crappy amp. What's the difference? Is it an issue with quality of the Mexican versions?

Yeah, that's what I understand from what I've read on the guitar forums. I have no doubt that they are decent instruments, but the American made are supposed to be better quality. I've seen a several hundred dollar price difference at some online stores and Ebay.
I'm already taking a bit of a hit on my Zone VI outfit, so I want to be careful and get something that is somewhat closer in value. : )

Theyre great instruments but the american is better. Its mostly in the electronics. If you find an SRV strat that may be up your alley. You are not gonna really find many strats with p90s as thats a custom modification. The guitar would have to be routed for the larger p90. I do believe the amp is important but i believe the guitar is more. Playability is a huge variable. I chose the strat cause i find i play better on it than a les paul. I also love the sound of the single coils versus humbuckers. Its that quack you get from a strat! My strat has texas special pickups so its a little hotter and much better than the crappy stock mex pickups. If you find an american you might want to get them!

I've been listening to some YouTube videos of National M1 and M2 resonators played with a slide, and man those things sound pretty good also. Looks like I've got some thinking to do.

But, I need to sell this Zone VI camera outfit first! (Or my 22BR target rifle). Then I can start my new 'slide blues' hobby. : )

Beware of resonators though. Especially if weights an issue. There super heavy. Really cant stress that. Id go electric. Any electric set up right will do you for slide. Id go heavier gauge and a high set-up. With heavier gauge youll get more volume and be able to tune down with out too much string flop. Hotter pickups are better. I prefer brass over glass but that just me.
