For sale is a mint Yashica Mat 124G medium format twin lens reflex camera - 385$

This camera is a wonderful TLR that accepts both 120 & 220 film. Its condition is near mint.

Camera information:

- The lenses are scratch/scuff free with no haze
- Viewfinder is extremely bright allowing for quick and easy focus
- Light meter is working and extremely accurate
- Flash syncs have been tested and work

The following extras are also included with this package:

- *Auxiliary telephoto lenses with case
- Metal lens hood
- Original paperwork
- Leather case (excellent condition)
- 1 roll of Fuji Pro 400 film

Overall this is an excellent medium format setup in great condition. TheYashica Mat 124G was the final installment of the Yashica TLR line and is a much cheaper alternative to the Rolleiflex TLR cameras. Send me a PM if interested!

...anyone interested? I think this will be going to auction soon.

I still have a catalog from the 70s and looked up what a 124 G cost brand new: 420 german marks, that was $170. Maybe it's the price...

US$170 dollars in 1970 adjusted for inflation is about US$950 in 2010. Regardless of original price, the selling price now is what the market will bear.

Excellent + at KEH is $310, and that's camera only, no extras. The seller isn't that far off the mark with included extras.

Thanks Lee, I feel my price is fair compared to the KEH prices as well. An Ex+ Yashica Mat 124G on KEH does not come with a hood, Case, or the Aux Tele lens set.

Ok, it seems to work in the US. Here in Europe they are still cheaper.

CMO, what would you think is a fair price?

i wish I had the money,
this is a complete and mint set
worth at least what is being asked ...

Here I saw it for prices between 50 and 180 Euros in very good condition. Obviously it is worth more money in the US.

That would have been the nearer the price range in the US a decade to 5 years or so ago. Prices for TLRs have risen a lot in the US recently.

I'm amazed at the "price police" responses here- if one wishes to communicate such thoughts to the seller, why not use a PM? If the price is too high, the object will not sell; but it could also be that the potential buyers are just not looking right now, and that the price is "fair" (whatever that means).

What ever happened to common courtesy?

There is no common courtesy on the internets
