For Sale FS: Wollensak Verito 7 1/4" in #1 Studio Shutter

For sale, my 7 1/4" Verito. I've tried to like diffused focus, really I have, but it just hasnt grown on me. I'll probably regret selling this lens but I usually just end up using it stopped down to f8 or more, at which point I might as well use my Velostigmat. It's in beautiful shape - anything you see in the photos is dust. The shutter works in the manner of studio shutters. I find the best way to get a "round" aperture is to go past where you want to be and then back up on it (ie, if you want f6, go to f8 or f 11 and then open back up). It's a great focal length to use on a 4x5 speed graphic. I haven't tried, but you might even have enough bellows to use it converted.

I have a set of Velostigmat Series II 7" cells that fit this shutter (the shutter they came in went to save a 10" Vesta). There are photos of them in the same Flickr set that has the Verito photos. I'll include those for $25 if you want them.
