Is my original wet plate camera (+- 1860) that I used to start this wet plate collodion journey. I've bought a new camera from Blackart and this one has been catching dust ever since. It's probably from France but it doesn't have any engravings. I did buy it in France.
The bellows of the camera are no longer intact. I bought it this way. I solved it by using a darkcloth that covers the bellows and allowed me to work in daylight outside without light leaks.
The camera comes with its original lens and lens board. I never used it as it doesn't cover 18x24 cm.
The camera comes with its original back, but with a new slide as the original one, which is also included, is not light tight anymore. As you can tell from the photos the slide is covered in silver nitrate stains but I had three made by a woodworker so I have 2 clean ones for you. You can easily replace it.
The back is suitable for plates upto 18x24 cm. It comes with a home-made inlay for 4x5" plates.
The groundglass is intact. If you have any more questions feel free to shoot.
