What's a Polared? Well that's a word I just made up...and my teachers thought I slept through all those marketing classes. I use it to describe what your SX-70 will be once you buy one or both of the red SX-70 re-covering kits I just discovered I failed to sell about a year ago. This kit includes all the pieces you will need to re-cover your SX-70 and this kit has the tripod hole. It is made of leather, and it is a nice dark red (cranberry-like) color. As I recall, there is a trick to removing the leather from the old camera. I believe you might find explanation of this somewhere on the internet...possibly at cameraleather's page, but please don't quote me on that. I do remember you must be careful not to damage the underlying plates. Maybe you have to chant while doing the work. I'll bet this is what the group Blue Swede was trying to say when they covered BJ Thomas' "Hooked on a Feeling" and said...hooga chaga hooga hooga, hooga chaga...and all that. If you don't like that chant, I'd suggest: "ooh eee ooh ah ah ting tang walla walla bing bang." And no. I have no idea how much the songwriter had to drink before he thought those words made sense. It could be one of the great mysteries of the universe. Anyhow, just send me $13.75 and I'll send all 5 pieces to you. It is that easy. And then you can use your Polared to discretely take pictures of Poladancers (as long as your wife isn't watching).
Now what is a Polarack? It is the same thing but using black leather to cover your camera. I have 3 kits in black. Same kit...with the tripod hole and the same price...$13.75 each and I'll pay the cost of shipping no matter where you live.
Image below shows the red one.
PayPal is ok for international buyers but mail-in payment for US buyers please.
