Two and a half 5x7 backs

Have a look at these 5x7 backs. Prices are with their descriptions.

Please Note: I wait for Paypal to clear to my bank account before shipping; this takes about 3-4 days.

Burke and James 5x7 back, complete, no glass
$55 or best reasonable offer

This is an original equipment back for a B&J 5x7 camera, with the metal ground glass panel. It's complete and everything works. There is no ground glass.

The springs, which are still very strong, show lots of tarnish, maybe a bit of rust, but nothing dangerous. It's well used, not severely abused. The price is right. If you need one, here it is.

The back weighs a bit less than 1 lb so figure about 2 lbs shipping weight from 90027.

Eastman 5x7 back, complete, no glass
$55 or best reasonable offer

This back is in nice shape. The finish is pretty much intact, brass hardware has tarnish but could be polished up if you like exhausting yourself. There is no ground glass.

The only piece missing is the long metal strip at the left side, the opposite side from where the film holder slides in. I think those are installed to reinforce the small wood strip that stops the film holder. But the film holder only reaches that point if you overshoot and push it in too far, so it's not really an issue.

The back weighs about 10-1/2 oz, so figure about 2 lbs 12 oz. shipping weight from 90027.

B&J 5x7 back, no hardware, thrashed but solid, plugged holes
$30

The title says it all. It took a knockin', but it can keep on rockin'. Tinker around with it. If you have a ground glass panel and hardware that fits a B&J, you can exhume this and save yourself a lot of work trying to make something to make do.

Weighs about 7-1/2 oz., so figure about 1-1/2 lbs shipping weight from 90027.
