Two freshly completed 6x12 Zeiss conversions. These panoramic cameras have been converted from vintage a Zeiss folder cameras into a modern 6x12 cameras giving you six frames on a roll of 120 film. The cameras are stripped down to bare metal, deep cleaned and recovered with modern, laser cut leather. I’ve made them with both fresh black paint or left the clean silver exposed, but I have to admit, I really like the timeless chrome and black, especially with the all black lenses used in this batch.
The focusing helical is indexed for scale focusing (or zone focusing) at infinity, 20 feet, 12 feet and 6 feet and the modern 21mm Voighlander finder has been masked down to the same 2:1 ratio these conversions give you.
Unlike custom cameras that use 3D printed parts or complete 3D printed cameras (which do offer a lot of different options) my conversions are built to withstand daily usage and regular travel of a working professional photographer. Stainless steel hardware is used throughout the build and every joint is covered both on top and bottom with a metal epoxy to insure nothing will back out, shift or loosen over time. The wooden front plate is primed, painted and baked to insure a lasting finish.
The only use of 3D printing are the four spindle adapters (that are available on eBay) that are used to make up the difference in size between the larger 116 spool openings in the camera and the smaller 120 film spools.
These are available purchase at $1099.00 each (net plus shipping)
