It's a whole optics unit/head, with aperture, but no way to focus. It seems like it's off a TV or Xray rig or something, but I used it with some extension rings (taped it to the rings) and it images fine on an SLR.

From what I can tell, it would interface with the early chrome 85/1.9 or the rare focusing mount for the the same unit that fits their FD SLRs.

There are some marks on the rear element, so it's not perfect. Lots of blades in the aperture, though...
