For sale is a Tachihara Fiel Stand 4x5 wooden field camera.

The camera is in excellent condition. with one minor exception. The lever on the left of the front standard is missing the round steel plate which acts like a brake pad, and locks the standard in place. There are two such levers on either side of the lens standard, and the one on the other side is working perfectly. The standard can therefore be locked in place, and there is no operational difficulty.

Five minutes at my favorite camera shop in Osaka, and a new washer (which is what I called 'round steel plate') was installed. The lock now works perfectly. So, this is now a camera in excellent condition.

The bellows is supple and light-tight, all movements are smooth and locks are firm. The wooden body is also in very good condition, with only minor marks.

The sliding back shown is an optional item, and will let you use Mamiya Press roll film holders.
