For Sale FS: Super Clean Nikon F2 Black w/ 50mm f/1.4 Working Perfectly

Selling a very nice and clean Nikon F2 with 50mm f/1.4 lens. New mirror foam installed, all shutter speeds working properly, meter is working properly and accurate (no jumpy needle, very steady).

The glass on the 50mm f/1.4 is free of scratches/fungus/haze. A very nice set, also includes original Nikon leather case, Nikon UV filter + lens cap and Nikon leather camera strap. Camera shows only light minor wear, very light engraving of "LAY" on the baseplate, much cleaner than usually found.

I'm the original owner of an identical black paint F2 purchase in the early 70s, and these days it looks like hell. But the thing still works as if it were brand new after only a single CLA in 40 years. Thanks for the photos. I'd forgotten how nice mine once looked.

That first scratch is going to hurt like the dickens. After that it's smooth sailing.

It's a nice camera, has minor wear only, not boxed perfect mint, but not heavily used like you usually find, very clean. I would use it, not put in a collectors case.

I shoot mainly 35mm with an F body, so have decided to let this one go.

Wow, now that is one sexy camera. Nikon's black paint on those earlier cameras is really something to behold, the perfect balance between matte and luster.

This arrived yesterday. My god what a gem. Except for that light engraving on the bottom I see almost no flaws. What a nice feel to it also. Always wanted this last of the fully mechanical Nikons.
